To the Informed Voter

TeenPact Voter,

We’ve been in contact with our candidates a lot recently; offering advice, giving platforms, and assisting in creating the excellent campaigns. But there is one element that is crucial, yet uncontrollable. That element is you! You can’t have an election without voters.

As you know, one of our distinctives is excellence. With that in mind, we want you to be excellent voters. Here are three tips that will help you in this election at TeenPact; But we don’t want this information to stagnate after National Convention. This can equip you to vote well in county, state, and national elections. You can take these tips with you into choosing America’s leaders!

Take it Seriously

This is not a mock election, it is a TeenPact election. Most people assume that elections at National Convention are just a popularity contest. If you aren’t educated and don’t care, that’s when you cast votes based on superficial things. These candidates are striving for a legitimate position. Determine who you want to represent you!

Take Notes

Self-explanatory, right? But in order to take good notes, you need to do a few things. You need to pay attention. You need to think through what people say. You need to respect the people who are speaking. You need to want to gain something. Not to mention that taking notes during open forums and debates will also help you remember who you want to vote for! Taking notes is also just a good habit in general.

Take Advantage of Opportunities

We, on the elections team, have been working hard to give our candidates opportunities to share their messages with you. Take advantage of those. We have the Election Hall, where candidates have set up tables for you to get to know more about them and their campaigns. We have the Parties Party and the Great Race, chances for you to meet these candidates in person. We have open forums and debates, so that you can know what these people believe and why you should vote for them. Utilize those opportunities!

Now that you know what to do, you have no excuse. I look forward to seeing who you elect to represent you at National Convention!
